Asperger Association of New England  AANE's mission is to foster awareness, respect, acceptance, and support for individuals with AS and related conditions and their families.

 

Autism Society of America ASA is dedicated to increasing public awareness about autism and the day-to-day issues faced by individuals with autism, their families and the professionals with whom they interact. The Society and its chapters share a common mission of providing information and education, and supporting research and advocating for programs and services for the autism.

 

Autism Speaks Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. It is our firm belief that, working together, we will find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

 

CHADD Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), is a national non-profit, tax-exempt (Section 501 (c) (3) ) organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with AD/HD.

 

Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation The Child & Adolescent Bipolar Foundation educates families, professionals, and the public about pediatric bipolar disorder; connects families with resources and support; advocates for and empowers affected families; and supports research on pediatric bipolar disorder and its cure.

 

Family Resource Connection (FRC), New Hampshire State Library FRC was launched as a collaborative effort of New Hampshire Departments of Health & Human Services, Education, and the NH State Library—as a statewide library and clearinghouse, whose primary mission was to serve the needs of NH’s children by means of providing information, resources, and support for NH families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals concerning aspects of caring for, educating and raising children—with an emphasis on children with special needs.

 

Gateways Community Services Gateways Community Services (formerly Area Agency of Nashua) is a private non-profit corporation created in 1981 to establish and maintain programs and services which promote growth and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities. We bring high quality services to residents in Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Mason, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Wilton, and Nashua. Gateways Community Services believes that all people are of great value and strives to be innovative when providing quality supports needed for individuals to lead meaningful lives in their community. The people we serve: Infants with Developmental Delays, Children & Adults with Disabilities, and Elders in Need of Support.

 

Horsetalk Hippotherapy offers a comprehensive team approach to horse assisted therapy delivered by a Speech-Language, Occupational, Physical, or Psychotherapy professional that uses the rhythm and movement of a horse to help patients with autism, asperger’s, stuttering, and other developmental disorders.

 

International Dyslexia Association  IDA is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with dyslexia, their families and the communities that support them. IDA is the oldest learning disabilities organization in the nation -- founded in 1949 in memory of Dr. Samuel T. Orton, a distinguished neurologist. Throughout our rich history, our goal has been to provide the most comprehensive forum for parents, educators, and researchers to share their experiences, methods, and knowledge.

 

Learning Disabilities  LD OnLine seeks to help children and adults reach their full potential by providing accurate and up-to-date information and advice about learning disabilities and ADHD.


NAMI NH National Alliance on Mental Illness NH NAMI New Hampshire is dedicated to improving the quality of life of persons of all ages with mental illness/SED (Serious Emotional Disorders) and their families so they may have the opportunity to recover from mental illness, achieve their aspirations and live, work and play in the community of their choice.NAMI NH provides support to families and the public at large through its family support groups and educational programs, information and referral services and public presentations.

 

NCLD National Center for Learning Disabilities  NCLD works to ensure that the nation's 15 million children, adolescents and adults with learning disabilities have every opportunity to succeed in school, work and life.  NCLD provides essential information to parents, professionals and individuals with learning disabilities, promotes research and programs to foster effective learning and advocates for policies to protect and strengthen educational rights and opportunities.

 

NH Connections!  The mission of NH Connections is to develop collaborative regional support networks to improve educational outcomes for all children while meeting the unique needs of children and youth with disabilities and to facilitate access to supports and services statewide.

Parent Information Center  PIC of NH is a recognized leader in building strong family/school partnerships. PIC provides information, support, and educational programs for parents, family members, educators, and the community. PIC is a pioneer in promoting effective parent involvement in the special education process.

 

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's  (SAMHSA) National Mental Health Information Center  Provides information about mental health via a toll-free telephone number (800-789-2647), this web site, and more than 600 publications.The National Mental Health Information Center was developed for users of mental health services and their families, the general public, policy makers, providers, and the media.

 

UNH Institute on Disability  The Institute on Disability/UCED (IOD) at the University of New Hampshire was established in 1987 to provide a coherent university-based focus for the improvement of knowledge, policies, and practices related to the lives of persons with disabilities and their families.

 

UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center  UpReach Therapeutic Riding Center in Goffstown, NH is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, and psychological development of challenged children and adults through progressive therapies centered around the horse.
